2023 Whitmore Lake Farmers Market Information

At the February 14th Board of Trustee's meeting, Whitmore Lake Farmers Market Manager, Dana Queen, presented an end of season wrap-up report for the 2022 Whitmore Lake Farmers Market season. The inaugural return of the Farmers Market in Whitmore Lake proved to be a fruitful one. The 2022 market had only four market dates to determine if the events would be successful, and the answer to that is - Yes! Each market date hosted between 475 and 700 visitors! Thank you to everyone that supported our market and its vendors!!!

The board approved another 1-year contract with Ms. Queen as our Whitmore Lake Farmers Market Manager, and she is ready to get straight to work. Check out what's new this year!

Tentative dates for the 2023 season will be 10:00am-2:00pm on the 1st and 3rd Sundays from June through October.
Due to expected parking lot and pathway construction at the Northfield Community Park, the 2023 Farmers Market will be held at the Whitmore Lake Middle School (8877 Main St., Whitmore Lake).
The Whitmore Lake Farmers Market will be applying for a Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) number and reader so that individuals that are eligible for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) will be able to use their SNAP EBT/Bridge cards to purchase applicable goods at the farmers market.

The Whitmore Lake Farmers Market is a Michigan grower/producer preferred market. All vendors must grow or create as much of their products in Michigan as possible. Artisan/Craft booths must present quality, hand-made goods. No Multilevel Marketing or Direct Sales businesses will be allowed. Vendors and Food Trucks interested in participating in the 2023 Whitmore Lake Farmers Market can complete the 2023 Whitmore Lake Farmers Market Vendor Application and return it to farmers_market@northfieldmi.gov.
