Clerk's Office

The Clerk is responsible for voter registration and for conducting all local, State and Federal elections. He/she is also responsible for school district elections (Whitmore Lake, South Lyon, Ann Arbor and Dexter). In addition to voting and elections, the Clerk has numerous record keeping duties, including: all township records, the Board of Trustees minutes, the voter registration files, the Book of Oaths, and the Ordinance Book.


  • March 10th -  Presidential Primary
  • May 5th - Special Election
  • August 4th - State Primary
  • November 3rd - Presidential & State General Election
The Clerk's office will be open on the following Saturdays to process voter registrations, Absentee Voter (AV) applications and Absentee Voter ballots from 8:00am - 4:00pm

The AV envelopes have changed.Your AV ballots will now arrive in a white envelope with a BLUE stripe, and your return envelopes will be a white envelope with a GREEN stripe.  Click here to see sample envelopes.

Election Inspectors:
Election Inspectors are needed to help during the upcoming elections.  You must attend training prior to working an election.  Please contact the Clerk's office for details.  If you are interested in becoming an Election Inspector, please complete the application below and turn it in to the Clerk's office.
