Planning Commission Vacancies


Northfield Township is looking to fill two openings on the Planning Commission, as two terms ended in December 2015.  The role of the Planning Commission is to advise Township officials in matters of planning and development of the community, prepare plans, and make recommendations for land-use and the environment. 

Members of the Planning Commission are recommended by the supervisor and appointed by the Township Board of Trustees, and serve staggered 3 year terms.  Planning Commission members must live in Northfield Township.  The Planning Commission meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month. Anyone interested in being considered for the Planning Commission should submit a letter of interest with relevant experience that would be valuable to the Planning Commission to:
